These terms govern your use of the Clapham Surveyors Ltd website and the provision of our residential surveying services. By using our website or instructing us to carry out a survey, you agree to these terms.
Company Information
Clapham Surveyors Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. All surveys are carried out by RICS, CIOB and/or RPSA accredited surveyors. We hold professional indemnity insurance as required by RICS.
Our Services
We provide residential surveying services including RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys, party wall services, RICS Red Book valuations, snagging surveys and schedules of condition. All services are provided in accordance with the relevant RICS standards and guidelines.
Instructions and Fees
A formal instruction is confirmed when you accept our written quote and pay any required deposit. Our fees are fixed and all-inclusive as stated in our quote. We reserve the right to withdraw a quote or decline an instruction prior to formal confirmation.
Access
You are responsible for arranging or confirming access to the property at the agreed inspection date. If access cannot be obtained, a re-attendance fee may be charged.
Reports
Survey reports are prepared for the sole use of the named client. They may not be relied upon by third parties without our prior written consent. Reports are provided as professional opinions based on a visual inspection; they are not guarantees of condition.
Limitations
Our surveys are visual inspections of accessible elements. We do not carry out intrusive or destructive investigations unless specifically agreed. Elements not inspected are noted in the report as NI (Not Inspected).
Professional Indemnity
Clapham Surveyors Ltd maintains professional indemnity insurance as required by RICS. Any claim for professional negligence must be notified to us in writing within six years of the survey date.
Cancellation
You may cancel an instruction before the survey date. If cancelled less than 48 hours before the agreed inspection, a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the survey fee may be charged. If cancelled on the day of inspection, the full fee may be charged.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us in writing. We have a formal complaints procedure and are members of RICS, which provides an independent redress scheme. Details are available on the RICS website at rics.org.
